Jaan, Beijing: light as a feather, cleanest finish on a Pinot, but still retains the feel. — 13 years ago
A Riesling comes from the cool Eden Valley. Good value at 120 yuan found in a drugstore in Beijing. Petrol and minerals are the first things that I could recall on the nose. Also some lemon and citrus fruit accompanied by honey and toast or some cream and nuts. Very vibrant on the palate with very high acidity, nearly bone-dry but lingers quite long on the finish. 91 points Drink now and do not age further. — 13 years ago

Very good! Slightly sweet German wine, but not too sweet, drank in Beijing — 13 years ago
An elegant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Syrah from Rapel Valley. Quite obvious Carmenere characters with a lot of vegetal( tomato leaves as most may account and pepper) This is a chunky wine with a feeling of gun powder and smoke, it develops well after a little bit of breathing with notes of plum and cinnamon and vanilla kind of sweet spices. Medium+ intensity. On the palate, it is very tannin-focused with good extraction of fruit and dryness. Good balance with medium acidity and a round body. Lingers pretty long( medium+) A very notable Chilean wine that is definitely above good and the average. 88points. Drink from 2012-2015. Tasted in Beijing on 17th October — 13 years ago

Feminine, elegant. A delight with Beijing duck. — 13 years ago
Matarromera Crianza of 2010. It displays much cedar, vanilla and dark chocolate after withholding many fruit aromas and bouquet at first. This is not a fruit dominant wine, yet has black fruit such as black cherries as well as some overripe red apples, dark chocolate and charcoal. A bit of oxygenized style makes it more complex. It is savory on palate with good amount of black fruit and dark chocolate. Very big tannin, very firm but not harsh, full-bodied and high alcohol. Medium + acidity(or higher) and medium to medium+ length. Can be enjoyed now, but it will improve in the next 3-5 years. 88-89points. Tasted in Beijing, 14th Oct. 2013 — 13 years ago

A great value at 20 US dollars. Brick-red, pronounced nose with a spectrum of red fruit and black cherry, leather, tobacco and truffles. Caramel and moss are very pronounced too. It may have passed its peak but nevertheless, it is still a pleasant Gran Reserva that is complicated and not tired at all. In the mouth, suave tannin with very accessible acidity, fruit, truffles and leather are displayed with a pretty lengthy finish on animal fur and caramel. This wine should be enjoyed the moment that it is accessible and without decantation, the fruit and finish will go down rapidly after an hour's decanting with more account of notice on alcohol. 87points.
