First experience with a sparkling Scheurebe and impressed by its Riesling like profile with a cleaner albeit tad less complex texture and mouth feel and shorter finish. Good acids to go with our kids selection of Grotto pizza for New Year's Eve dinner! AA 13 German lot — 3 years ago
From Domestique 2014 on 5/2/20. Dry, no effervescence. — 4 years ago
Mossigt, höstlöv, mumma! — 5 years ago
A shockingly clean and dry Riesling with subtle skittles-like aroma. Significantly more enjoyable on day 2 (a decanter not available to me). I am far from an expert on this stuff but I would imagine some more years under the belt might help this yield more? Acid for days but not aggressive. Just tightly wound. A fascinating encounter. — 5 years ago
Strawberry nose. Such a great balance of acidity and fruit. Refreshing like cranberry juice... Low alcohol (11%) makes more pronounced fruit and acidity in the palate. Fun wine, paired it with a hot dish (melted cheddar, potatoes, ground beef and green beans), and it was awesome! — 6 years ago
Good and not dry red wine. — 7 years ago
Visiting Fredericksburg TX for a few days. This is TX hill country and has a big winery community. Never tried any TX wines before but found a few surprises here. We tasted at Becker earlier today but not this wine. $30 on the restaurant wine list. Becker wasn’t our favorite stop but it is the only local winery represented on their list. Overall local wines seemed overpriced compared to CA wines. Just realized we had an older vintage (2018) on our last trip from Houston to Anaheim. It’s interesting that most of the grapes used in the local wines come from Lubbock (panhandle) area. Don’t know where these grapes came from, or what varietals are present. — 3 years ago
A very good companion to smoky, salty Texan bbq — 5 years ago
Reminiscent of good quality Chambolle with a touch more flesh and pliancy. This is stupid good for the price, when I’m old I’ll be bitching about how cheap this was back in the day. High toned, crunchy, deeply earthy and loaded with ripe red/black fruit. The finesse is there. Black cherry, wild strawberry, rhubarb compote, black tea, wildflowers, wet leaves, undergrowth, spice. Again, the elegance coupled with the perfume and harmony this carries really delivers. — 5 years ago
Pretty serious wine, the prettiness almost overshadowed by a ramrod-straight backbone of acidity. Probably meat-friendly with the right preparation? — 7 years ago
2019. Pop of huge Meyer lemon. Unrip Pineapple-mango and dried mango. High viscosity for a dry. Clean acidic finish. — 3 years ago
One of the best! — 3 years ago

What a great wine. Very bright, hints of lemon and some floral. Paired with a baked salmon and a sweet potato as gratin, wonderful all around. — 2 years ago
