Exactly what you want from a just developing Chablis 1er. Comparing to the Tribut Beauroy I had last week this is just a touch less impressive. But rocking regardless. — 8 years ago

This 2011 needs a few more years under its belt. Tight but still yummy. Typical Beauroy styling on the nose and palate. — 11 years ago

You like a touch of oak in yo Chablis you say? This one sings with some shoulders - a mate to the "little black dress" regular Chablis from this producah — 9 years ago
Excellent 1er cru from Fevre; thought 2008 acids would never soften; well here is one that is; nice linearity and subtle funk from solids during ferment and monumental malo lactic; yoghurt aromas; terrific drink with sashimi tuna doused with marinated orange and roast sesame; 13% #chablis #chardonnay #minerality — 10 years ago
Bought in a cave in Chablis. Unfortunately did not enjoy it chilled. This was the more mineral flavored 1er cru from this vineyard, the other one was fruitier. — 12 years ago

And here we have the opposite of the Beauroy with a north facing site that shows more typical cut and tension of a Chablis, but also with more ripeness than your usual Chablis. A wonderful wine, good complexity as citrus, rock, smoke and a hint of tropical like Banana fight it out. — 9 years ago
2011 Pommier Chablis 1er Cru "Beauroy." Low acid vintage means you can enjoy the wines earlier and don't have to wait. Love where 2011 is. Big, ripe, expressive Pommier nose of seashells/rich apple fruit, umami and a general sense of cleanliness. Rich and viscous on the palate with low-ish acidity but sneaky salinity on the finish. In the context of the wine and the vintage this is great now. I don't think it will get any better. It is superb now. Plump yet Chablis-like. Lovely salt and salt like extract on the finish. Amazing texture here and great length. — 9 years ago
