Turns out, I like Chardonnays. I had it paired with scallops crudo. I perfect combination. It you think you don't like Chardonnays, try ones outside of the U.S. They are generally smoother and crisper than the American ones I've tried. This 2012 vintage of Nugan Chardonnay was delicious. Truly a lovely surprise! Fresh, just dry enough and slightly citrusy .... Summer beach breeze in a bottle! For 15$ this wine is exceptional. I sipped it with an ahi tuna salad with mango and goat cheese but I'd pair it with just about anything. For me, this wine is easily consumed with a group of friends with diverse tastes: a perfect "social" pairing! Salud! — 11 years ago
