The nose has notes of lavender and a faint reminder of beach sand. The first sip started a bit spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg. The tannins are high and chalky at first but fade quickly. The finish is a nice combination of wood, toast and blackberry. I think this wine would benefit from another few years of aging. — 11 years ago

Truly a lovely surprise! Fresh, just dry enough and slightly citrusy .... Summer beach breeze in a bottle! For 15$ this wine is exceptional. I sipped it with an ahi tuna salad with mango and goat cheese but I'd pair it with just about anything. For me, this wine is easily consumed with a group of friends with diverse tastes: a perfect "social" pairing! Salud! — 11 years ago

This is a full-throttle unfiltered SB 😅 Very hazy and cloudy with plenty of particles of all shapes & sizes floating around. Turns out, I like Chardonnays. I had it paired with scallops crudo. I perfect combination. It you think you don't like Chardonnays, try ones outside of the U.S. They are generally smoother and crisper than the American ones I've tried. This 2012 vintage of Nugan Chardonnay was delicious.
