Nicely balanced but with acidity taking a bit of a backseat. Quality throughout, although a medium-short finish. This is a wine with layers, showcasing the San Luis Obispo area with pride. 1999 Case Bassi Di Gianfranco Soldera Riserva Brunello Nebbiolo. Drank w Rick and K on double date at Prov.Wine was great. Very rich and acidic- so different from the 2006 Vosne Romanee. We saved this one for the meat course and it was perfect. Thumbs up all around. — 10 years ago
