2012 exceptional mineralogy but sweeter than one would expect from a grape known for dry whites. Good expression of Savoy terroir with subtle fruit notes of peach underlying elder flowers. — 10 years ago
What a pleasant surprise from California! USA is ok, as hunta in Shirokino said!😄😜 — 10 years ago
I really enjoyed the strong stinky smell of this wine. I let it sit out for about five minutes and drank it; and, it tasted splendid. If it stayed out longer, I think it would have gone bad. The cork broke down; so, I had to be extremely creative in opening this bottle. It held up very well through all the years -- the wine was still above the shoulders. — 11 years ago
Greeny gold, apricot, white peach, dry with good acidity. A lemon meringue minerally unctuousness - a lovely Savoie wine! — 11 years ago
Easy drinking, light and fruity. A touch acidic that mellows with a little time. — 12 years ago

2009, Julie Balagny, En Remont, Jean Barrat, Fleury, Gamay. No notes, but an excellent Cru Beaujolais. Red fruit, a little spice and a little earthy. Great story about Julie Balagny. Took her dog, got a vineyard, works it all by herself and makes great Cru Beaujolais. — 9 years ago
Tonight I'm in a New York state of mind with one of my favorite wines crafted by Hudson-Chatham Winery, the 2013 Field Stone Baco Noir Old Stones & Old Vines, Masson Place Vineyards, Pulteney Farm (ABV 12%). I reviewed this one back in August 2015 on my blog. It remains outstanding, an exceptional example of Baco Noir which expresses its Hudson-Berkshire Beverage Trail area roots, literally, with aromas and flavors of tart cherry and plum accompanied by crushed rock and earthy minerality, lingering spice, and juicy, mouthwatering acidity. Pair this with nearly any food. — 9 years ago
Among the most moving American Pinot Noir to be found...Santa Cruz with one foot in Bourgogne à la Paul Masson and the best of California by the able hands of the Pattersons. Rich yet restrained, bright but not without bass, and a spectrum spanning from spice to fruit, sous bois to citrus. A lively and lovely, remarkable wine. — 10 years ago
Savoie unripe pineapple, jalapeño, over black river rocks. Mineral goodness ! — 10 years ago

One of the better bottles from this producer. Usually has a strong streak of acidity but this had already started to round out nicely. — 7 years ago
