Once upon a time there was a perfect wine region. It was called Bordeaux. It was run by crusty old French families who produced beautifully restrained elegant and deeply structured wines that were appreciated by British toffs, the French aristocracy, and a few American europhiles. Then wine consultants, hedge fund billionaires, and Asian plutocrats took over this little patch and turned into an industry. But for some reason, nobody noticed little Chateau Gloria, which still makes a classic and reasonably priced left bank Bordeaux with menthol, dark black fruit, oak, and leather. It is in no way newfangled or "reimagined." It is what it should be: a classic old world Bordeaux. Vive la différence. — 9 years ago
Not a bad drop. Owners wife recommended this one in substitution for my favorite Redman. Pretty good through the entire bottle and gets better as you go. Still miss the Redman though. Little bit dryer. Non acidic. No indigestion. No alcohol punch just a smooth Jesus Juice. — 10 years ago
Didn't disappoint! This wine is beyond bold. It gives a quick peppery taste that is just a hint and finishes smooth and filling. Not an award winner at this show but is one that is ready to drink and bring a smile to the taster's mouth. I liked it and that's what counts. — 10 years ago

2013 TH Vineyards (Terry Hoage) The Hedge Syrah Reserve. Has to be best wine I have had in many years. Fresh, dynamic, huge depth. On finish has an entirely new dark fruit driver for minutes. With Pat and Angie's perfectly grilled steaks. — 9 years ago
Always see Barking Frog on winner and high rating lists in the press. It comes through with the boldness and husky taste characteristics of Italian Barbara. Not over powering but rich and artful for the palate. — 10 years ago
Very unique. Somm select wine drank at buttermilk farms. Metallic, limestone, citrus, moth balls — 11 years ago

This one is a Single Varietal Pinot Noir from Richard’s Stone Hedge Vineyard. Very nice varietal expression. Aromas of Cherry Cola and Tobacco. Earthy and organic on the pallet with the fruit in the background. Hint of peppery spice and balanced oaky notes. Very Burgundian. Nice effort that is now at its peak. — 8 years ago
