Tobacco, bing cherry, shiitake mushroom, blood, and truffles on the nose. Palate fills out with such softness yet so much life. Dark chocolate & cherries with hints of metal components on the tongue. Mocha dust and truffle on the finish. Epic. Delicious. Tannins to last another 10 years. — 12 years ago
Compact nose with a bit of B vitamin, honeyed metal and struck match or even slightly burnt toast a bit, scotch tape mineral character...you can sense the honeyed gras on the nose too. Tiny speed bumps of salinity emerge slowly. Lemon custard with subtle acid. How much of this is Meursault ? 45 min open and the minerality is this elegant enthralling scotch tape with a pin prick of acid on the tongue as a finish. Wow. Linear on some level but elegant and regal with attributes up its sleeve. — 12 years ago
Bit Sancery, sharp and long, less metal, strong. — 13 years ago

Gun Metal continues to be Jerry's strongest showing, out of several quite impressive years at Guardian, across all wines. Outstanding representation of his blending skills! — 12 years ago
