Golden amber color, medium body, smells of toffee, dried orange peel, walnut, dried apricot, dried fig, white balsamic and caramel, medium body and very smooth mouthfeel, smells like a very sweet wine but it is not, tastes between a manzanilla to oloroso sherry, very complex tasting profile, smooth long finish with an amaretto like bitter aftertaste and then a slight hint of sweetness similar to having a biscotti. — 10 years ago

Pronounced black cherry and plum nose, with anise, pepper and crushed stone notes. Ample, brambly blueberry and black raspberry on the palate, with good acidity. Bursting with juicy goodness, some--but not too much--grip, and a 40+ second finish with spice and mineral. A real beauty.
