If is June, it must be time for Stone's Ruination Anniversary Triple IPA, The 2015 release of Ruinten , bottle on 6/12/15 the first release back on 6/12 to celebrate the tenth Anniversary of Ruination, so this is the 4th time this has been made, only once a year, for a very limit release and time, when it's gone, it's gone. : (. This is like many, my all time favorite Stone beer, it is insane!!! More hops added to the beginning and end of the brewing process than any beer Stone makes, more tropical than Ruination, much more than the original Ruination, double dry hopped too, dank, big citrus notes with mango, pineapple notes as well, malt backbone to help balance out the outrageous about of hops, AVB at 10.8% Wonderful balance helps mask the high AVB, smooth for such a big beer, mouth feel is medium, not to sticky for a TIPA, dangerously drinkable for a beer so big, Outstanding overall, get it now, but save some more for me, the 4 bottles I have will not last long. — 10 years ago

After some years enjoying beer, it is still one of all time favorite Red IPA's big hops, Caramel malt, citrus and pine, excellent beer, years ago when this style came out, I really did like anything called "Red Ale" this is the one that changed it all for me, this is a perfect example of what a red ale should taste like, or really a double red IPA, but that is what I love about it, mixes and balances the two style together and creates a new and now popular style, Green Flash was the first and still the best at this, one of the best, there a now a few others that are just as good and better, but not by much, I give extra points because Green Flash made this style first and great from the start, back in 2004 or 2005, I think it was, Great Great beer — 11 years ago
Burnside Brewing Sweet Heat, from Portland, Or. A wheat beer w/ 200lbs apricots, and dry hopped w/ Jamaican Scotch Bonnet peppers. Perfect balance of heat, sweet, and Weiss characteristics with a gentle spice lingering in the back of the mouth. Very good! — 12 years ago

It's back!!! Re-review of this classic Black IPA, now in 12oz bottles!!! This one of the best in style because it is first and true a IPA, not a just a hopped up stout or Porter, which a lot of black IPA's are, this is all about the hops, with that creamy roasted malt, coffee and chocolate, but again the hops are the show, excellent in the style, but beware, this is a big monster of a beer, almost 9% ABV, that is why am glad it is now in 12oz bottles, limit time only, well I guess till the next time it comes out, so to summarize, IPA, first, stout second, Period!!! — 9 years ago
