Classic SE Aussie Shiraz. Big, thick layers of black fruit and tobacco on the front with red fruit hitting the back of the palate. Tannins in the 2010 are still solid although beginning to tame. This baby was great with roasted duck on Christmas Eve. — 10 years ago
Baby Barolo. Slight smoke. Duck, pork, beef, light on tannins. — 12 years ago
Still a baby, friends with duck duck. Happy 70th dad, we should for sure have the same bottle in 10 years — 10 years ago

A welcome gift from the new job. Dark cherries, blackberries and blueberries with heavy notes of salami, hickory smoke, and fresh ground black peppercorn on the nose. Bright and fresh, bursts upon the palate with cherries and red currants, giving way to ripe, fresh June strawberries and blueberries with citrus pith, and finishing with black currants, chicory root, and blackberries. Sexy tannins though the finish is a bit short, this baby has some life in it. Re-open in five but great with duck tonight. — 9 years ago
