Just how I like it! Viva México!!! — 10 years ago
'99 Dolcetto. I have not known Dolcetto to be age-worthy, particularly at a modest price point, but apparently I have merely been ignorant. — 10 years ago
Stunning. And something I did not notice last night is the 16.5 % abv. Fruit, earth and spice all on a lush sappy frame. Great. — 11 years ago
Originally planted in the Vigna del Ventaglio vineyard created for the royal palace of King Ferdinand I of the Two Sicilies (Ferdinand IV of Naples), pallagrello bianco, a rare variety from volcanic soil that bring a true ancient history of Campania to your table. — 11 years ago

I was a firm believer in Portuguese Duoro before coming to Italy. — 10 years ago
Really nice Barolo. I have had three or four of these over the last 15 months. Tonight with white truffles, pasta and some mains. Earthy, mushrooms on the nose. Took a while to open, but after about 90 minutes really sang. — 11 years ago
One of my fave wineries from Puglia. I have been a long time lover of the Squinzano, but this was spectacular! Ripe fruit with dried herbs and leather. Perfumed nose with cherry and dried lavender. Layer upon layer upon layer through the mid-palate, through to long supple finish. — 11 years ago
Who gave me this wine? I like it and want more! — 12 years ago
Told the oenophobe boyfriend to grab a bottle of Primitivo. Not wanting to disappoint the oenophile girlfriend, he came home with this and I could tell from the second I opened it, it would have a beautiful spice and finish. Boy did it. Yum yum yum. We had it with a honey-glaze roast chicken and it was utterly seductive! — 10 years ago
Probably one of the better reds I have had in a while. Definitely a great wine with great people. — 10 years ago
1999 , Your grandpa's badass Piedmontese wine. I love your grandpa! — 11 years ago
I really like this. Very pale gold. Vanilla notes. Biscuity. Very drinkable. — 11 years ago
Fairly dull ruby with slight brickish rim. Deep forrest with prominent oak up front, and outlining aromas of wild and dark cherries on the nose. Second tear meaty aromas. Commanding presence right from the entrance, showing exuding elegance and phenomenal harmony. Quite long structure of very soft tannins and delicate fruit. Oak comes through quite a bit. I believe that this bottle is slightly just passed its plenitude. If you have a bottle of this fine wine, drink now. 92 pts. — 11 years ago
