Fairly dull ruby with slight brickish rim. Deep forrest with prominent oak up front, and outlining aromas of wild and dark cherries on the nose. Second tear meaty aromas. Commanding presence right from the entrance, showing exuding elegance and phenomenal harmony. Quite long structure of very soft tannins and delicate fruit. Oak comes through quite a bit. I believe that this bottle is slightly just passed its plenitude. If you have a bottle of this fine wine, drink now. 92 pts. — 12 years ago

Really nice Barolo. I have had three or four of these over the last 15 months. Tonight with white truffles, pasta and some mains. Earthy, mushrooms on the nose. Took a while to open, but after about 90 minutes really sang. — 12 years ago
One of my fave wineries from Puglia. I have been a long time lover of the Squinzano, but this was spectacular! Ripe fruit with dried herbs and leather. Perfumed nose with cherry and dried lavender. Layer upon layer upon layer through the mid-palate, through to long supple finish. — 12 years ago
