Did not expect a bottle of Bourgogne to be this perfumed. Dark cherries, earthy undertones. Dominated by GC characteristics. Juicy with a touch of acidity. Nice balance/structure for a Bourgogne. — 8 years ago

Spice box, decaying leaves and a hint of smoke mingle with red cherry, red raspberry and cranberry fruit on the complex nose. The palate showcases the candied yet fresh nature of the fruit in excellent wines from 2002. The acidity is vibrant and the tannins round soft and textured. Just dynamite. — 9 years ago

The wine seemed a bit closed initially and then opened (some) to flavors of dried cherry and earth. Only a moderate fruit profile. Acidity was nice and balanced. Can't tell if it was a little past its prime or needed more time to stretch its legs, but I suspect the latter.
