Had side by side with Austin Hope cab and could barely taste a difference. Amazing value! — 2 years ago
Big, juicy, the Cabernet character is there, some minty notes along with the wood. Good length just lacks structure and finesse for a classic Cabernet. — 5 years ago
Seductive nose of blueberry, cassis, cedar, dark roasted coffee bean,, nutmeg, peppery spice, touch of barnyard, and hint of tobacco. Probably the most harmonious palate I’ve had in an Aussie Shiraz. The oak and alcohol are totally integrated, with ample acidity and soft elegant tannins. Powerful and graceful.
What a surprise! — 5 years ago
So surprised by this Aussie Shiraz. Nicely balanced and has aged really well. — 7 years ago
Crushable. Great summertime wine. — 10 years ago
2005. A house favourite and one of the best expressions of New World Riesling which exists. The late release adds both a great story but the required time to make this superb wine really sing. — 11 years ago
Best vine ever and a winner if you Luke a kick, Best derved with Healy gravy buy if you Can get it — 13 years ago
The light cherry red in colour belies the intensity of the palate. Cherry and raspberry flavours - some herbal notes. The Grenache grapes from a sandy terroir in McLaren Vale - most suitable. 77 year old vines. The wine was made in a natural style - fresh and young - juicy. Interesting back story: When the Rolling Stones were touring Australia in 2014 with a gig in Adelaide, Mick Jagger plus Keith’s wife and a few others decided to visit the Adelaide Hills and had lunch there with Taras Ochota and his wife. Apparently the Stones bought all of their inventory and had a memorable stay. Sadly Taras passed away a few years ago. — 8 months ago
This is another blend. But this time it’s Cab, Syrah and Mourvèdre. — 5 years ago
Big bold delicious with blackberry and blueberry. Minty notes, medicinal, with smoke/vanilla/toast, and some tertiary notes of leather and peppercorn. Tannins smooth, easy to drink...its very tasty, but just too much alcohol in the end..no doubt a long finish, but with that finish, I could blow fire... — 5 years ago

Very deep purple color. On the nose black plum and currant with some spices. On the palate it is full bodied with ripe black berry and pepper flavors. — 12 years ago
Oak, ample vanilla. Black fruits. Black pepper. Dry and Spicy. Mild tannin. Elegant body. Earthy. Not so sweet chocolate. MITOLO G.A.M. Shiraz McLaren Vale 19 @6314, Felicit, 250329-250404 — 9 months ago

Good on the dry front. Nice and light behind that punch and laced with fruity goodness. Laaaaavley — 3 years ago
The 2018 Mollydooker ‘The Velvet Glove’ Shiraz is a utterly sensational bottling that rivals any wine of its kind. Aged in all new American oak, this shows a gorgeous bouquet from blueberry pie to espresso grounds, graphite and toasty oak tones that all impress. The palate is deep and utterly seamless. A massive core of blue and dark fruits collide with white pepper, minerals, firm tannins and a light dusting of salinity. While obviously big, this has a weightless quality and wonderful verve. Wonderful to enjoy now, this outstanding Shiraz will provide drinking enjoyment for at least another fifteen years. But why wait? Drink 2021-2038- 98 — 5 years ago
