A bit mild and smooth. Bold w a bit of spice. Not my preference but for what it is it's authentic to its flavor profile. — 10 years ago
Definitely needs some more time, opened up nicely though — 8 years ago
Just released. Opaque purple to rim. Toasted oak, cassis and leather with grippy dusty tannins. Dark fruit balanced with great structure. Finish goes on for a minute. Will be interesting to see the evolution of this. — 9 years ago

For me, this is as close to perfect a Pinot Noir as there is: a subtle nose of cherry and earth, a soft and supple mouth feel with cherry, cranberry and rose petals with a hint of forest floor on the palate. Complex, beautiful, just wonderful. Unfortunately, the current 2012 vintage under his new Camlow Cellars label (which we just picked up last weekend) is the last year he'll be working with Keefer Ranch fruit, but winemaker Craig Strehlow has consistently nailed it for me. We'll definitely try the new juice--also from Green Valley--when it's ready. *fingers crossed* — 10 years ago
Wonderful spice. The smell takes me back to napa :) — 11 years ago
Both of us REALLY enjoyed it. Craig liked it better than Bonterra! — 12 years ago

This one-off Cuvée from the boutique Robert Craig winery which focuses on mountain appellations in Napa is 50% Spring Mountain CS and 50% Howell Mountain Zinfandel (same juice that goes into the Turley Zin) aged 12 months in French Oak, 35% new. Gentle nose of dark fruits, green and sweet bell pepper, coffee, herbs, slight scent of perfume. Silky and savory on the palate with refreshing acidity. Bitter herbal finish. This wine is supple and delicious. And a hell of a deal at $20! — 8 years ago
