I have four of these and thought I would do my 10 years in bottle check in. I will tell you this wine has the makings of something special but, it is far from ready. Its showing some Margaux beauty & style but, it needs at least another 7-10 years before I’d open another. The wine has not softened and integrated enough at this stage.
The nose reveals ripe, baked and candied fruits of, dark currants, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, strawberries & plum. Big vanilla, clove, cinnamon stick and nutmeg, sweet tarriness, anise, dark, rich turned earth, dry stones, dark berry cola, dry herbs, dry stem, tobacco, graphite, cedar with fresh, dark, red, blue, purple perfumed florals.
The body is big, full and rich. The tannins are dark, round but, meaty and sticky. The structure and tension are still huge. The length is really good but, the balance is still earth dominate. Ripe, baked and candied fruits of, dark currants, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, strawberries & plum. Big vanilla, clove, cinnamon stick and nutmeg, sweet tarriness, dark spice with some heat, dark chocolate, mocha powder, used expresso grounds, anise, dark, rich turned earth, dry stones, dry clay, gritty volcanic minerals, leathery, dark berry cola, dry herbs, dry stem, tobacco, graphite, cedar with fresh, dark, red, blue, purple perfumed florals. The acidity is round and beautiful. The finish still needs time but is nice and persists minutes.
92 now with room for 2-3 additional points in 10 plus years.
If you are the type to long cellar your wines, buy the hell out of the 2018 Rauzan-Segla.

Solid terroir imprint, intense mouthfeel and acidity. Simply the best bottle of Vouette & Sorbée we've had, my co-taster and I. The wine is showing no mercy, offering a serious grip from the first sip to the last one #bestofsummer #aude #suchabeast — 8 years ago

Excellent Chardonnay from the Languedoc region. Reasonably priced — 7 years ago
Plavac Mali from island Vis and know-how from Istria are apparentely a good combination. At first, brighter color has lowered my expectations, but then the nose and palates were nicely surprised. The recognizable characteristics of the variety are almost advertised with neon light signs in the nose and mouth. Every last percent of alcohol (14%), has been successfully covered. This is a ready-to-drink (and enjoy) wine, which I can offer at the same time to some wine snub and my mom who rarely drinks wine. — 7 years ago
I chose the perfect beer to celebrate #NationalBeerDay I was gifted this for my birthday last week and heard nothing but good things and BAY-BEEEE it did not disappoint. 🎶these are a few of my favorite things🎶 I don’t do ice coffee often but if I did, it would this beer. No point in drinking cold coffee if it is not 11% ABV. Dragon’s Milk is dark, toasty (and roasty), rich and heavy! Everything I want in a man, but A👏🏾DAMN👏🏾 BEER👏🏾! Men disappoint, so give me the warmth and familiarity bourbon barrel-aged stout anytime. The smell is perfect and the notes of vanilla and caramel sweeten it ever so subtly. Issa win! #badandboozypod #craftbeerlife #stouts #dragonsmilk #gimmemore #beerreviews — 8 years ago

Dark Bing cherry hue. Aroma is potent. Pie filling and cobblers. Slight incense and cedar shingles. (Aude says stale bread). Flavor is straight French. Dark inky, chewy, bitter. Lots of tannins in the finish. The Franc really comes through. A wine that would divide. Not for the American palate. Nor weak of heart. But I love this kinda thing. — 7 years ago

I asked for something local my man Chris delivered with @peabodyheightsbrewery. I had this double IPA as part of my earlier flight @oldlinewine and decided to bring it home to celebrate Open That Bottle Night, although Issa can. Double IPAs are often a bit much for me but this is surprisingly light and not as filling while still delivering with 8% ABV. It’s fruity, crisp and not overly hoppy. I’m keeping this one in rotation. With a nice bistro and retail shop, I think I’ve found a new favorite place. #blackcraftbeerlover #craftbeer #badandboozypod #bitchesbesipping #ibeendranking #OTBN #blackgirlmagic — 8 years ago
