Dry. Flavors of black cherry, black olive, peppercorn, tar, cocoa, leather, earth. Rich, chewy tannins. Delicious!

Maybe needs a couple more years, but this slightly underwhelmed after high expectations given how much I enjoyed their rosso. Decanted 3 hours, but this is still rather chunky and unintegrated with just the slightest bit of heat. Still a nice wine for sure with some very classic Sangiovese notes, but not quite singing. — 4 years ago
