Medium to deep ruby red. Dark spices (cinnamon and cloves) on the attack of the nose with dark berries and plums. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) with balanced acidity and medium plus body. Seems a little older than a 2013. Lots of dark cherries, woody notes, savory characteristics and light minerality in the long finish. Drink till 2022. — 9 years ago

Crisp, tart and funky, light years from a traditional cider. — 11 years ago
Great with an Ashton Maduro.. — 11 years ago
Floral and peppery nose, chalky tannins, a touch of dehydrated raspberries. Lushness!!! Everything tastes better in Troy❤️ — 11 years ago
Blackberry, cassis, raspberry, plum, vanilla, blueberry, licorice and oak. Good structure and velvety tannins. — 9 years ago
Is this the best to date? Since 2002 I am not sure I have seen a better Kalleske Greenock in its youth. 2012 was excellent with 2013 being a tad more elegant but in the end as excellent. As for this vintage, more on the darker fruit spectrum with spice influences. Appears at first like a full frontal assault that settles down as the senses become attuned. Love it...well done Troy and Tony and team. — 9 years ago
I've been on the hunt for this for a while now, and I'm happy to finally get some in my glass. The juicy cab franc with its spicy and peppery undertones does take in a Loire direction, but then the zweigelt adds a different sort of funk that pushes it into new territory. A lot going on here for such a quaffable wine, and it comes across as dynamic, alive and idiosyncratic. It also pushes all my happy buttons. Yum. Holla @Phil Ashton! — 9 years ago
Wendouree fruit, be certain to chill or down enough to highlight delicate its spritz. Aged and dried fruit, prunes, raisins and sweet oak. If you're in the mood for this it's incredible. — 10 years ago
Second wine we are trying tonight and the same name as my mom. Garnet red with a crimson core. Nose started off with a slight smokiness that wore off to plums, dark cherries, and some light strawberries. Very interesting undertone of thick and creamy dark cocoa. Slight baking spices on the palate with some dark cherries and plums. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) with a strong structured body. Slight dryness to the finish. Definitely needs a couple years to fully integrate and becoming a stunning WA Bordeaux. Drink from 2017 till 2028. 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. — 10 years ago
A relatively Troy free wine. The best. — 11 years ago
A new grape to me, swaddled in satin smooth moves, the renamed Nero (that used to be an Uva, or egg) de Troia, here is the kind of luscious red that the big red wine drinkers would adore. Maybe we should re-name Merlot as Mero de Troy... — 11 years ago

Nice Washington Roussanne. Went great with King Crab legs. — 11 years ago
Found this for 6.99 in Troy Alabama at a gas station on my way to the beaches of 30A. My rating does reflect that price, but how wonderful to find a true Pinot Noir inside a roadside gas station. Forest floor with soft and sour fruit and a pop of freshness throughout. — 9 years ago
Pretty rose gold color, interesting blend of Grenache, Mouved, and Counnoise (which I have never heard of). Fresh floral notes and red fruits on the nose, healthy acid, citrus. Little bit of bitterness on medium length/complexity finish. Very drinkable, though not remarkable. — 9 years ago
Great wine...amazing balance! — 9 years ago
Sample from Estate. Deep and clear yellow, love this wine from the start, so visually appealing. Beautifully complex nose that started off with a little bit of oak influence, toasted nuts. Layers created the complexity with notes of stone fruits, and some citrus, almost like a lemon curd. Day two the nose got a little sappier, as in thicker and dark with some honeysuckle. Moderate acidity (6.5/10) and full bodied. Creamy mid palate with vanilla bean and honeysuckle in the front. Long finish that brings through a more Burgundy feel with lemon and a little minerality. Absolutely delicious and killer value for only $25.00. Drink now or enjoy till 2023. — 9 years ago
Just as good as last year's. Bought 10 bottles. Might need 10 more. — 11 years ago
The Helen of Troy of Greek wines. Elegant, restrained raspberry, pomegranate and caramel. A tasty wine, but it lacked the acidity I would have liked to see for it to be paired with the lamb chops. — 11 years ago
Cool beans, as they say. 1982. Oxidyzed nose, acidity softened but still lively. Even hanging in there on day 2. Thanks Troy & Gina! — 11 years ago
This one's for Troy Stark but what a Champagne! http://bonumvinum.wordpress.com — 12 years ago

Spicy Aromas with Cherry Sappiness and Earthy notes with a little savoury funk. Great intensity and length. Very well made in a brilliant terroir for this variety - on this occasion in the Adelaide Hills. As Richard Hemming MW an Englishman said “this is a Burgundy Slayer”! Tasted 57 weeks later with consistent notes - a Pinot more on the fuller side. Very easy to drink. — 8 years ago
