Compared to my first impression I had when I tasted this boy back in November last year for the first time, the oak appears a bit more present, especially on the palate. Curious to see if & how it will integrates over the next years. Nevertheless a cool, focused Chardonnay which is definitely one of the best examples of this grape variety out of Germany. — 8 years ago

This one really surprised me with forest floor, spice and black chocolate notes. 24 months aging in 60% new French oak - predominately cab and cab franc from clay soil.
