Smooth, strong and yes, smoky. Bought my bottle in Mexico, haven't seen it in the States. — 8 years ago
Had this 2009 Brunello while at Aroma in Rome. Perfect match with the suckling pig. Darker than most Sangiovese wines, with a fabulous rich nose. No tannins, very fruit forward. Big and round are not words I usually use for Brunello, but fits this one. Heartily recommend it. — 9 years ago
This 2010 will stand out as a standard bearer. Upon opening the aromas were gorgeous but the acidity overwhelming, within a few minutes it became candied spiced oranges on the nose with powdered cocoa over orange peel with clove and nutmeg in the mid palate. So good I never wanted it to end. — 6 years ago
Dried strawberry, cherry, roses, leather. Subtle hints of gravel and forest. Palate is acid driven with bright red fruit, with a hint of mid-palate sweetness and transition into a soft tannin finish, indicative of the 2012 perhaps. — 7 years ago
Fruit forward, cherries, some earthiness — 8 years ago
Spicy notes make it great for pairing with cold cuts. Discovered it in Florence — 9 years ago

From half bottle. Aromas of leather loam and a little plum but essentially very savoury with fine sandy tannins. Oak is there but not overbearing. Loved the wine and a great accompaniment to Pork Belly. Met the owner and chef Tony Percuoco. A great restaurant and a regular for us when visiting Brisbane. His 2 brothers run the equally good Fellinis on the Gold Coast and Armando is the chef and owner of Buon Ricordo one of Sydney’s best Italian restaurants. All 3 highly recommended. — 6 years ago
Nice cherry notes with a zippy finish — 7 years ago

One of the best Cesanese’s I’ve tried. Potential for significant aging. Complex. Had at Armando al pantheon in Roma. Obviously fantastic with Amatriciana. Located in the village of Anagni, 1 hour south of Rome. Owned by Francesco Trimani. — 6 years ago
