A little pricey for what you get. yes a full body wine with some pepper and leather mouth it's missing the complexity of wine in that range. — 9 years ago
First time trying wine from oregon. Read alot about it that it can rival burgundy. Very good indeed and above my expectation. Good fruits and leather and spice that you find from burgundy. Silky and elegant. And long finish — 9 years ago
From the Novara hills in Piemonte comes this intensely traditional Italian Nebbiolo that oozes with character. A wine to rival the best made Barolo. The 1998 is in stock today ($50) but limited. Call to order before this treasure is gone.#renegadewines — 10 years ago
Rockstar Cali Chardonnay. Would rival a great Chablis. Intellectual with high minerality, light fruit, and layered complexity. A must drink! — 10 years ago
2013 vintage. This one can rival with the finest Beaujolais. Well balanced acidity, refined red fruit. — 10 years ago
Juicy with hints of raisins and dried cherry's. A great rival to non-vintage port. — 10 years ago
Ripe red berries, black pepper. And slight red bell pepper on the nose, intense nose, ripe and round tannins, med + acidity, full body long finish but no secondary or tersiary aromas yet this wine is just a baby but a great merlot, a good rival to Masseto with a premium price of £175. — 11 years ago

French red at Raoul's — 12 years ago
A soft, gentle, elegant wine. Tannins arch palette forward, with a bit of a long tail, but are never bitting. Slight earthy mushroom funk and cassis. This isn't a wine for a heavy meal or a blizzard - light fall air is where she shines. — 10 years ago
Great showing almost 10yrs later. Great debth from an ok vintage, still a little young but showing all the singns of a stellar wine in another ten years. Barolo is the King and Bocchino's site and method is a perfect match. Can rival any great wine of the world. — 10 years ago
A fine Burgundian rival......delicious :) — 10 years ago
Provencale cave must rising to wood smoke with a velvet finish. Sommelier said liquorice but I didn't get that: just a deep, smooth red way rounder and bigger than its diminutive price.
As an accompaniment to English Stilton and Spanish manchego with fig jelly it's a serious rival to my favourite $75 barollo.
Try it. — 10 years ago
Ok. This could definitely rival my favorite weekly cabs that could be a 150$ napa wine. Cabernet of two winemakers and blended with Tempranillo merlot and PV. Just extremely memorable, loads of fruit and so smooth with some caramel and a minute finish. Bravo!! — 11 years ago
Chunky, rich Grenache. Chateauneuf rival. — 11 years ago
A rival to Leonardo Chinati but still not quite as good, you get what you pay for. This is pretty decent for its price (4€), notice its empty. — 12 years ago
Lush, crisp, definitely a good rival to champagne of the same price or above — 9 years ago
This, TO ME, is Pliny the Elder's rival for top West coast IPA! This is definitely my new favorite beer and I haven't been in the mood for an IPA for about a year until this. A must try for craft beer enthusiasts. — 10 years ago
Super yummy, nice fruit and acidity — 10 years ago
I forgot to post this review from the weekend. My 3rd vintage of this impressive value wine. Of the 3, my favorite has been 2011. 2012 may rival it, but it needs more time in the bottle. Most wine drinkers are a bit nervous at this price point. Under $40, it's go with what you know and usually that's not a Grenache. But if you see this bottle try it. It's fruity, bold, but balanced. Consistent quality and enthusiast rated. Cheers!! — 10 years ago
the aforementioned Le Rival....sadly, no longer at Raoul's — 10 years ago

Great smooth and easy drinking oaky and fruity, mostly merlot but not boring. Great without food but better with red meat — 7 years ago
