Crisp with a lemon and grassy nose. Creamy texture, but still crisp. Had a great balance in that sense. Flavor is mostly citrus, specifically lemon. Perhaps some pear or green apple notes as well. — 8 years ago

Marco Sartori is a true believer of Recioto della Valpolicella. This is a Valpolicella blend without Molinara but with some Croatina. Grapes come from volcanic soils of San Briccio Cru, near Mezzane. Aged in a majority of old barriques, smooth, balanced, rich in texture and complexity. Awesome! — 11 years ago

Sangiovese 90%, Merlot 10%. Smoky, leafy, and fruity on the nose. Acidic. Cherry flavors. Quite nice. Good mouthfeel on the finish. Very approachable. — 8 years ago

A wonderful Sicilian wine. Recommended by friends and it was delicious with meat!! We enjoyed it at Ristorante San Marco in Ponte di Legno on the last night of our ski holiday. — 9 years ago

So delicious! Drank this wine in Piazza de San Marco 2017 (venice). Ate grilled branzino, polenta, potatoes, grilled vegetables. A memorable meal. Love this wine! — 8 years ago

This is made by a close friend of mine, Marco Cosenza. He's been making wine for the past five years, and I was fortunate to acquirer a case of this marvelous wine. Produced and bottled by City Vinters San Francisco Winery. This Cabernet underwent a cold soak for seven days before going to press. It spent 18 months in new Hungarian oak. Dark fruit and with fine tannins. Nice long finish. Im sure this vintage will continue to evolve for another five years. — 10 years ago

Had to guzzle this since the Piazza San Marco was flooding (as did our restaurant) from high tides in the Venetian lagoon while we sped thru dinner. Still I appreciated the ripe lush fruit and velvety tannin. Very much an early drinker for BdM. — 6 years ago
