This wine is in a GOOD spot right now. CT Average of about 93, and I'd say that this is about right. 93-95 as this one still has probably 7-8 years before it is pop and pour. Acidic at the opening, but the patience (which we didn't have) would have served us well. Cabernet power from the front. Blackberry preserves, hint of mint, white pepper, hint of clove, middle that goes a little bit herbal, but still very considerable black fruit. Finishes strong, with pepper, spice. I know the last 750 I have is in danger, and hopefully I can also lay off the mag for at least a couple of years. — 7 years ago
My first cru Beaujolais and I was blown away. Very impressive - complex, good fruit, lots of acidity - strawberry pie filling — 9 years ago

Great Shiraz from Barossa with great ageing potential. Big core and good tannins, with a floral, spicy, and botanical nose. The pallet exhibits dark vibrant raspberries, black pepper, bay leaf, burnt espresso bean, and silver dollar eucalyptus toward the lingering finish. I still find the RWT to be more my style, in comparison to this beimg more lean in structure and spicy in character. It was a bit less extracted which for some is preferable, but every so often I enjoy more of a rich extracted style of wine. Overall, great effort and I would like to see this one in a few more years.
Cheers!

Full bodied Napa Cab! Smooth and lighter tannins than I was expecting. Decanted 6 hours before enjoying. — 10 years ago
Wild style. A lot of herbs, black cherry, wet leather, earth and a hint of brett. A bit thin on the palate, missing the tension. — 10 years ago
Desert Island wine for certain.

Dinner with friends, prior notes still apply.
A Burgundy bin end theme for my bottles tonight, all are the last stock of the wines that have given us great pleasure in the prior 12-18mo. They will be missed, but not forgotten, new vintages will come eventually. 🤩 — 6 years ago

2013 vintage. At Costa Navarino, Greece. Medium lemon hue. On the nose, quite complex - lemon curd, chalky minerality, honeysuckle. On the palate, a little fat, medium acidity, medium plus concentration and fairly long finish. The mineral nature of the wine is more apparent on the mid palate. Very enjoyable. Drink now until 2023+. — 9 years ago
Light and refreshing, pear, apple, lemon peel, a bit cheesy note at the end. Clean and neat. — 9 years ago
Not too oaky, a lot of flavor but it's not overwhelming — 10 years ago
