Outrageous showing. Confectionary nose of sugar snap peas, sweet pink celery, herbs, some apricot and just awesome, forceful driving minerality. Palate is super elegant, super juicy and just so super delicious. Amazingly pure and balanced and so so clean. Slips, slides and glides on the palate. Exceptional minerality that is alive and super cleansing. Just on point. — 4 years ago
A genius Klingelberger. What a nose. So floral. Flower shop levels. Little shop of insane dry Riesling. Gorgeous Mosel like fruit. Smells ripe and sweet but also bone dry. Green apples. Pear. Apricot. So vivid and detailed. Just wonderful. Lime blossom, sweet lime. Endless aromas. Fresh field level 10. But also rock quarry. Staggering young Klingelberger aromas. Palate is epic like a Norwegian Viking documentary epic. Dense, structured, deep man is this deep with just stunning purity and freshness. So vivid and so detailed. This is god level balance. So long. Never ends. The purity of this wine is just incredible. Amazing finesse and elegance and screamingly mineral and very very complex on the finish. This is a staggering young Klingelberger. 9.7. Yup. Just genius. Amazing concentration and depth. Really I can’t get over how good this is. — 6 years ago

Expressive nose with black peppercorns, cloves, crushed rock, a hint of iron & blood, underneath all that - pure black fruit. Fresh, spicy, enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with ripe, grippy tannins, juicy black fruit acidity and nice purity to the fruit. This has grip, good tension, quite some power and loads of character. Reminiscent of Northern Rhône.
Nice length, too! A brilliant Austrian red! — 4 years ago
Love the mouthfeel, almost oily balances with striking acidity and a nice core of fruit, all in balance, almost restrained. — 7 years ago

Frankly quite amazing. 12.5%. Tasted first at the winery in Durbach - Baden and then 2 days later a second bottle at a friends home. One of the best Rieslings money can buy. Mandarine, peach, hint bitter, orange blossoms - so long. Great minerality provided by the decomposed granite this area is known for. Traditionally made. This area is unique as Riesling is a unicorn in Baden which is dominated by Pinot. Obviously opened way to early but hard to resist. More big and round like the Pfalz Rieslings and not steely and sharp like the Mosel or Nahe. — 3 years ago
Really impressed with this for $20. Floral, aromatic nose. Certainly orange in the glass. Full bodied with a touch of tannin. Earth, and a distinct bergamot note. Great on its own but would be great with grilled chicken or prawns. — 6 years ago
1997 vintage. Very special. Fragrant on the nose - stewed fruit, dried herbs - a bit like a pot pouri. Smooth in the mouth, not too tanic. Excellent — 7 years ago
Highly aromatic, apricot, full-bodied, medium alcohol. — 8 years ago

Breaktime from Xmas shopping with a refreshing lift from the Isarco Valley. Kerner is a personal favorite. With its lilting crisp acidity, white florals, honey, slate, and ripe green apple. Tiny bit of flabbiness which I'll chalk up to a bad vintage but makes up for it with a reasonably long finish. — 9 years ago
