Loved it. A very restrained and aromatic version of Pinot Noir. — 5 months ago
Pale gold color in glass. Yeasty notes up front that dissipate with bubbles, light citrus, soft green apple and wet stone on the nose. Palate is delightful, prominent salted lemon peel at the forefront, green apple, precisely balanced acidity and dosage. Sometimes there’s no substitute for quality #grandcruchampagne — 6 months ago
Juicy. Yummy. Great for price. $14. — 4 years ago
Really great merlot. As CWM said, a merlot for Cab lovers! Full bodied, but still light enough to drink on its own without too much of the heavy mouth feel. — 5 years ago
Balanced but fruit is front and center through to the finish with a soft velvety tongue. The bourbon barrels come through with a deliciously harmonious, and unique surprise. — 6 years ago
Delicious! Heavier than my normal pinot noirs but extremely smooth with good flavor. Would definitely drink again. — 7 years ago
Earthy notes on the nose. Slight bitterness but not as pronounced. Red apple skins. Green apple on the finish. This wine wants to be drunk with any food. Good — 8 years ago

13.5% Mondavi reserve from 1997. What a lot of fun to try. Not sure what kinda year this was in Napa, but this is delicious. Perfect pairing with prime steaks on the grill - tons of dark red fruit with great refinement and acid on the finish. Really excellent. — 5 months ago
Incredible nose & gorgeous dark inky purple. 2017 opening more w meal. $175 but normally $220 @ AB — 6 months ago
Not part of our little “Vosne-side of NSG” blind shootout, but it might as well have been. Opened earlier during dinner as a blind, I thought it looked very NSG. Why I had it there was mostly down to the elimination process in our blind options. Right on I was, but had it younger.
Very dark fruited on the nose, along with earthy, spicy notes and hints of dark chocolate and moss. The palate was quite pure and elegant, with grippy tannins and an earthy, lightly mineral (which didn’t seem to grow with air) finish. When drank side-by-side with the pair of 19’ NSG during dinner, it didn’t quite have the depth not intensity of the two. It certainly wasn’t as bombastic as the MG, nor had the obvious “goût de terrior” notes of the Grivot, but had a certain elegance I liked. — 9 months ago

Peach, key lime fungus, and some Zotz. Yea, interesting. Myer lemon and lemon zest. Honey finish. — 7 years ago
This wine exceeded expectations. Though the restaurant could have served it much colder (their food was excellent BTW). — 8 years ago
Great Pinot. Very smooth.

Very Crisp, dry light Riesling with notes of lemon, pear and pineapple. Balanced with simple complexity. — 10 years ago
Lovely nose of ripe pear, honey, cake frosting. Pretty easy to sip - round, toasty, decent acidity, slight pleasant bitterness, fresh enough but age showing nicely. — 5 months ago
Light, elegant, a bit floral. Great wine — 8 months ago
Fruit is still there! One of my favorites! Bob Foley is as good a winemaker as there is on the planet! Big, fruit driven, plum and rich, but incredibly balanced. Just so good!! — 5 years ago
Tawny purple, opaque. With 3 hours of air the nose blossomed and exhibited the grace and power of a great Vosne. Notes of black cherries, Asian spice, some menthol, dark moist black soil, some sandalwood and a little rose petal. This powered up with air and showed its stuff over several hours of consumption. Great wine. — 6 years ago

Bright aromas tangerine and citrus with a touch of pear. Juicy on the palate with tons of slatey minerality. Bright acidity balanced by lemon and lime fruit. Medium clean finish. — 10 years ago

Mount V just makes lovely Cab Savs! Still had tannin structure for 3-5 additional years of cellaring. — 4 months ago
