Pickled, salty, oceanic, smoked plum, bran muffin, soft caramel, a minuscule hint of fish oil offset by mint and bay leaf enveloping adhesive aromas. Full, burgeoning mouthfeel expressing lemon oil, coarse black pepper, oak, apple peel, baked pear, lemongrass, graphite, dark caramel, vanilla in a pointy finish with eucalyptus. — 9 years ago
Single malt from India?!? Wow. Very complex with spice and cloves up front, a butts of citrus and honey on the mid palate and a long spicy-sweet finish. A total chameleon. — 9 years ago

A bit mild and smooth. Bold w a bit of spice. Not my preference but for what it is it's authentic to its flavor profile. — 10 years ago

Pale gold color. Upfront aromas of incense, cedar, green grass, hay, green tea, vanilla bean, coconut, and cereal. Mouthfeel is voluptuous. Some dry tannins in the back palate. Flavors are similar, with apple and creme brûlée hints on the tongue. Long finish! — 9 years ago
Cognac Barrel finish. Big cognac nose. Warm and glowing, with a big oak note. — 9 years ago

Fantastic. Salty and briny with a bit of smoke to balance it out. Very easy scotch from one of the last independent distilleries in Ireland. — 10 years ago

All of the wines this evening were donated from my cellar for an international Food & Wine Society dinner function.. The night usually ends with a port but I decided to change it to an aged rum. This drank like a million bucks. Had a nose like a great cognac. Definitely a keeper! — 9 years ago

The town of Kilcock, Ireland was founded in the 7th century around the healing wells of a brewing monastery, and until the 1800s it was home to five breweries and two distilleries. Our own brewery, in fact, can be tracked back to 1595, sharing a space with the famous Green Well, which is as old as Kilcock itself.
A town steeped in history is the ideal place to brew fantastic beer, and to write our own brewing history – in this case, the story of the dysfunctional first family of Irish brewing, the McGargles. — 10 years ago
This is not wine. Good ole corn whiskey. When we can't find a connection for the real thing this is what we love. — 10 years ago
