Amped up! A lot of minerality coming out with a handful of bright tropical fruit. Delicious!

Originally when I opened this bottle I wasn't that amped, but in Penfolds' fashion this bad boy is built to last. I'm guessing you could lay this down for another 8-13years and it will shine. 5 hours after this wine was decanted it was still tight, but tasted great. — 11 years ago
A classic. Flavors so rich and amped it practically sits in its own category. Your head will turn wondering what why the others are called sweet vermouths, but this one is just stealing the show, not gonna be a good fit for every cocktail. It can feel like bringing your famous model/actress friend to a casual house party at times. The profile of this in a negroni will upstage any but the sharpest (and also well mixed) gin, and really makes Campari seems too sweet(which it is). I mean This thing can compete w fernet! And they're great partners really, the rough mint and grandmas pantry herbal bitterness let anticas rich luscious chocovelvet ommph do all catcalls, and then show u the kinky whip after. Sshhh.. Stole this from a local bar: 1 part fernet, 2 parts antica, lemon/orang/ or grapefruit peel+soda, single stir: go! Tell me how you likely — 10 years ago

I am looking forward to opening this soon.
I had a taste of this before and cranked up my expectations. It's like Initial, but amped up to 11 :) — 10 years ago
