Nice Syrah! Violet with slightly orange edge. Very interesting nose, at first it has lots of mature red fruit, then it changed to a very meaty profile, also dried prunes, and violets. August Sebastiani & brother-in-law, Kendrick Coakley, craft small-lot wines made with minimal intervention, so one can enjoy the truest representation of each appellation & how its terroir impacts specific varietals. Came across this rarity & grabbed a bottle. Aromas of ripe berry fruits & wafts of floral notes. On the palate raspberry & blueberry flavors, sweet cinnamon spice with an edge of tobacco tones.
