Very smooth, cherry Pinot. Good stand alone wine. Buy again. — 10 years ago
2004 vintage. From Jay. How Coche can produce this quality of wine given that he is not working with a 1er let alone Grand Cru is testament to the wine making ability of this most noble of white wine Domaines. wine gives away little at first. elements of toasty hazelnuts and walnut shells present initially followed by floral tones. the wine is well balances with fine acidity and good minerality for a Puligny. Finish is good in length and satisfying. The wine developed well in the glass and put on more weight with aeration. This beats the pants off of many a well produced 1er Cru single vineyard PM. Another winner from Coche although not the best example of this wine I have had. 93/100. — 10 years ago
My new favorite. Refreshing, good alone or with food — 12 years ago
Delicious and not terribly expensive! Very dark, rich and smooth with great legs (just how I like my men!) great with food or stand alone. — 12 years ago
The nose alone is worth the price of this wine. Amazing. Joyful — 10 years ago
Not a wine to have alone -- earthy, rosey, tar like. Medium tannin, good acid. Great with food. Transformed with a calzone. Mine was only $17 so it was a great value. — 10 years ago
This is an all-around great wine. Not too spendy, not too fancy, great as a stand-alone or with just about any kind of meat dish. Solid. — 10 years ago
Pleasant creamy mouthfeel, nice acid balance, easy to drink as a stand alone

Pairs well with Home Alone — 13 years ago
A gorgeous testament to the prestige of Eisele Vineyard. At almost fifteen years old, the 2001 is just entering it's drinking window and shows an amazing amount of energy contrasted by shear power. The fresh and focused fruit, spice and floral bouquet alone is enough to seal the deal. It's a beautiful wine. — 10 years ago
What a surprise w/ food! Alone, the implies a sweet wine. Full bodied, honey & pit fruit even though it's dry. Didn't care for it. At the dinner table, the impression of sweetness disappears, lovely dinner wine. Full body & texture crave umami rich foods. — 10 years ago
Very light Chardonnay. Would pair well with chicken or fish, or do well alone. — 11 years ago
