HWT - delicious full flavor, went well with spicy red sauce. Steep at $78 though — 9 months ago

Very enjoyable Christmas Day tipple - a veritable companion to a roast rib of beef. Silky and sublime. — 6 years ago
I thought this was a delicious wine. Something about the length and finish was really enjoyable. Would buy again — 7 years ago

Yes I know this is way too early but I really wanted to see where this was. From a very old “mixed black” vineyard on a hill of decomposing slate loam. With an hour of air it’s showing deep, low-toned berry fruit, cracked stones, and a little warm gravel. Structured and very old world on the palate, it’s got a youthful wall of tannin guarding it right now, but there’s nice flavor density underneath and no hint of jamminess or residual sugar. Stow it for 3-5 years at least. But it will be really good. 9.2+ — 9 months ago
Seghesio Alexander Valley Never disappoints. — 4 years ago
Slight scent from the chin, nice deep hearted aroma when brought to the nose. Not super dry but not sweet either. A bit in the middle. Pretty tanny but not so much to leave the mouth super dry. All around a solid choice. — 5 years ago
This was our second bottle. First was uninspiring and despite the 97pt RP rating, found it to be disappointing. The trick is to let it breathe for at least an hour to let the flavors develop. It is no Opus One but very satisfying with a juicy steak or just plain enjoyment! — 7 years ago
Top Ten Feb 9, 2016. Well rounded, full bodied Alexander Valley Red. Fabulous! — 8 years ago
Really round, soft on the palate, with some old world funk but then this juicy fruit finish. Really fun. — 10 years ago
Barrel tasting 2014 Alexander Valley — 10 years ago
👍🏼I was at a liquor store seeing all of the standard go tos in the 20-30 range. I wanted to try something different. Thinking to skip the “well known” brands in hopes that something not known in the same category my offer more. And it’s true. This has the spice I love, not overly grapey. Will definitely be on my list to purchase again. — 8 months ago
Great selection at this price point. BinEnds. — 9 months ago
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon from Roth Estate is bright, floral and very easy to like. Crushed flowers, spice, mocha and raspberry are nicely delineated in this delicate, perfumed Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink it over the next decade or so. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2021)
