Beautiful color of deep red tea. Nose of some tea, sweet and spicy caramel, intense stingy fermented grains, and nice oak. Taste is quite smooth with some tea flavors again, also some citrus peel, sweet apple, while fermented grains flavor comes next. Aftertaste is medium long with nice zesty balance and flowering note. It's my wedding wine so I'm a little biased. The Zin comes from 70 year old vines and is co-fermented with Carignane & Petite Sirah. 18 months in 100% new French Oak. Made by Adam Sbragia. Not too shabby for a wedding wine. — 12 years ago

This rating is for “aged 20 yrs” bottle. Color of honey. Nose is powerful with alcohol spices, crayon, aldehyde, baked apple, fermented grains, and slight burned note. Taste is similar, dense, with real nice flowering/honey note to finish up. Aftertaste has some more salty mineral. Very nice. — 7 years ago
