Cherry fruit and bright acidity. Short,
spicy finish. — 5 years ago
So I was recently listening to the “wine for normal people” podcast and they mentioned how a lot of the Barolo and Barbaresco producers would put leftover grapes essentially into the newer DOCs. Well I open my little wine fridge and here is this Rosso from Langhe. I thought perfect timing! Not much on the nose but beautiful deep flavors. Low acid, starts with sweeter blue fruit and builds up to vanilla-oak-leather goodness. Firm cold ripe fruit that finishes quickly. Coats the mouth. Chewy, almost ripe fruit flavors. A great everyday Italian reflecting some delicious grapes. — 5 years ago
2016 vintage. Very nice. Easy drinking. — 6 years ago
Already quite mature. Soft,
sweetly aromatic and feminine. Damp roses, blood orange, wet concrete, strawberry rhubarb pie in graham cracker crust. Supple tannins, persistent acidity. Incredible lifted floral perfume and elegance. — 6 years ago

Mag. I’ll admit to never having tried or even heard of Nascetta before. It does taste very Piedmont, somewhat akin to a Roero Arneis maybe. Clean and refreshing, melon and a hint of tropical fruit, a little fresh grass, a saline or flinty quality. Seems like it could be pretty interesting with age — 6 years ago
Fresh and bright, characteristic Dolcetto. Nice acid, thyme, cherries. From Big Nose Full Body. — 8 years ago
Light brick color. Quite light for a Nebbiolo. Dried cherries, mineral, jammy, a bit alcohol forward. From Good Wine on 5th Ave. — 8 years ago
A smooth, enjoyable wine. Great with pasta. — 9 years ago
Rustical, very tannic but beautiful. Needs 2-3y. — 9 years ago
Drinking beautifully right now. Red and dark cherries with a black licorice backbone. Beautifully balanced with sweet tannins and bright acidity. Drank at Maialino with white truffled caccio pepe - yummy! — 10 years ago
An indigenous white from Langhe, I think this is my first time trying Nascetta. In the Nebbiolo dominated Piedmont, that’s not surprising. My Barolo meter is well tuned. My Nascetta palate.... not so.
I’m blown away here, though. This bottle is shockingly sharp with a creamy twist at the end that harmonizes the intense tropical fruits with a (non-sweet) honey glaze.
It’s that moment in the evening when you sit down on the couch after a long productive day. Self satisfied comfort wine. — 4 years ago

Wonderful Sicilian natural wine! Deep gold (let’s call it light orange) in color. Hints of grilled lemons with a hint of smoke. Beautifully “funky.” A true winner! Great with appetizers! Thank you Franky Bella for this selection. — 6 years ago
