2010 vintage. At Hinds Head pub in Bray. Rare and rewarding wine. Pale golden hue. Heady, honeyed and floral, with definite white stone fruit aromas, and a strip of chalky minerality. Fairly complex. On the palate, high alcohol - maybe slightly too much - silky textured full bodied and medium acidity. Full concentration of flavour. Medium plus finish. Really enjoyable albeit not something I would want to drink on a daily basis. Drink now until 2026+. Tip: serve on the cooler side to counter balance the richness and full body of the wine. — 8 years ago
A great wine to share with my love for our 9th wedding anniversary at the Village Pub.
Buoyant, well rounded, cherry cola, rose petals and great acidity to enjoy with the Village Pub experience. — 8 years ago
Americain IPA. — 9 years ago

With all the bad pub about the 2011 California vintage I wanted to try the Merry Edwards that I got on sale. My store of choice originally had it priced at $79.99 and I bought it for $29.99, WHAT! That's right $29.99, lucky me and what a good discovery. On the nose I get black cherry, black raspberry some clove and caramel nuances. On my first taste my eyes lit up and a big smile came to my lips. There is sweet dark fruit of black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, and cranberry. There is a smooth silky mouth feel with medium tanning and lip smacking acidity. The well balanced melding of all aspects in this wine makes for an enjoyable evening. — 9 years ago
