Never tasted this bottling before, I just hoped for a decent showing. Instead, it completely reshaped my view of Barbera.
Deep opaque garnet with a slight tawny rim. The nose is captivating with blackberry jam, fig, cedar, dry pine cone, worn leather, clove, and a hint of truffle. Seamless palate - full body with vibrant
acidity, supple tannins that still have firm grip, and a velvety texture. Long, elegant finish. Still has 5–8 graceful years ahead. By far the best Barbera I’ve tasted.

E’ molto popolare tra noi. E’ equibilibrato, perfetto per la cena. I miei amci lo hanno preso da Warehouse wine enoteca. Lo vogliamo di nuovo ancora. Vi piaciono i miei amici molto. — 5 years ago
This wine was never I commend it to stretch nine years, but it was very satisfying and still offered that beautiful aged Barolo feel – in both texture and in floral/verbal nuance! For probably $16, I count this is a real bargain and fun experience for our Ginger teriyaki salmon pairing :) — 7 years ago

Such a beautifully expressive & high toned Langhe, if only other Langhe's could give back so much at a young age. — 9 years ago

Reddish in color with a purplish hue.
Elegant nose and full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.
Showing raspberries, cherries, black plums, black currants, coffee, light oak and spices.
Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is an elegant and very pleasant Nebbiolo from Piedmont.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime.
Still young and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.
Easy drinking and good by itself as a sipping wine.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged in used American and French oak barrels for 12 months.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.

Threw a few of these in the cellar just to see what would happen. Finally coming into its own in Hour 2. Dark blue black fruits, nice acidity, balanced. Really nice. Great for Sunday pasta and red sauce. — 3 years ago
Wonderful acidity, well balanced fruit, a firm finish. This is top shelf Barbera and a real delight. Bravo. — 9 years ago
