Blueberry and plum. Getting something vegetal/grassy too but can't make it out. Very enjoyable wine. — 9 years ago

Tasting with Alan & Maria Teresa at Bartolo Mascarello. To see the cantina in person, to learn the history and hear how ferociously it's being preserved - I am grateful for every sip I've had. And particularly this one.
One of the parcels (Ruè) was pretty much decimated by hail in 2012, so it is a much smaller component of the blend than typical. A seriously elegant wine. — 9 years ago
Great little bottle ! — 10 years ago
Great acid, aroma of minerals and stone fruits. — 10 years ago
Big but with an elegance, would love to see it in 5 years — 10 years ago
2006 Vintage one of the Best wines I have had. Been saving one bottle for a special occasion, and Thursday night had my wine drinking group. Having Drank other bottles of the 2006, I would say this was about 1 year beyond it's peak, but still exceptional compared to subsequent vintages of the same. — 11 years ago
Best Chardonnay from Washington — 11 years ago
I love Cab Franc. Why don't people drink it more? This bottle is just delicious. — 12 years ago

a BIG wine — 10 years ago
Much more body than a Loire cab franc, but not overpowering - well balanced with dark red fruit notes — 11 years ago
Pretty delish — 11 years ago

Fantastic, if understated Sauv Blanc from the preeminent Waipara area of NZ! Starts very calm, but opens to a. Beautiful bouquet of citrus, vanilla, even kiwi and breadfruits - first taste was underwhelming . . . but just wait for this to open!! — 9 years ago
