@Robert Torretti I am sure you did nothing wrong. I would would say 20% of the time I enter the vintage and it does not register.. Zero apologies necessary, thanks for fixing

I used to have this happen a lot - when putting in the vintage, make sure to hit the “ok” button rather than just tapping away into another area.

Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir 2020

Reflects the vintage. Deep and rich. Delicious. Not your typical Hudelot Noellat Vosne Villages! — 6 months ago

En Jouise Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2021

Absolutely wonderful Gevrey. Maybe lacking one tiny smidge in complexity and depth, but I’m sure that would come with age. Very dark and somewhat dusty red fruit on the nose and palate, maybe a bit of cassis. Excellent length and freshness. Great acid, and a great pairing with sole meunière and John Dory in butter sauce at Le Duc in Paris. — 4 months ago

Les Peyrouses Côtes du Rhône Syrah 2020

Exceptional value CdR from Voge. Apparently 100% Syrah - more of a baby cornas than a CdR. Quite a nice typical nose and great depth and finish. Delicious. — 5 months ago

Les Murgers Nuits-St. Georges 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2011

2011 vintage. Solid aging cork in great shape along with a good fill. Decanted and tasted immediately and over the course of 1.5 hours. Threw zero sed. Light-medium body. Earthy, rhubarb, sous bois nose. Same in flavor profile with an additional, pleasant trace of dirtiness. Well-made and holding up very nicely but clearly on the subtle side of the ledger at this point. Any overt NSG fruitiness in the nursery is gonzo. Pretty but not in a youthful way. Aging very gracefully with another 5-7 years at this stage before changing addresses. 12.2.23. — 5 months ago

Cornas Syrah 2015

Was going to get the 2016 given I generally love that vintage across much of Europe but the somm talked me into the 2015 saying it was more open. He was right - this was delicious, and still traditional and “old school” with a restrained 13.5%. Tons of pepper and dark dark fruit with some olive. Very delicious with nice medium acid and a long finish. — 2 years ago

Richebourg Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Regal on the nose, grand cru depth and complexity, mixture of berries and cherries. Concentrated blueberry tea. Seductive on the nose and palate. Darker than the RSV, which is typical for Richebourg. For 2010, prefer the RSV. — 6 years ago
