Orange enough for me. Kirsch nose, orange blossom water entry, long zesty finish, a little too much residual sugar keeps this from greater-ness — 9 years ago
White Port not seen often enough on wine lists in the US. Great aperitif, for bartenders or to end the night. — 9 years ago

Very nice sweet port. — 9 years ago
Herbal like nose at beginning, spicy nose, very peppery character, at first taste it has like a metallic note but that fades away with time, round but heavy style pulls some berries and light cherry notes - an ok aged vintage port #portwineday #winelover — 10 years ago
Juicy. Sweet. Jam. Alcohol warmth. Delicious. — 11 years ago
A delightfully mature nose with dried and fresh red fruit, loamy soil, allspice and hint of creamy vanilla. Palate is lively but tannins are gaining the upper hand. This most have been a monster in its youth. Cassis, cranberry, red cherry fruit mingle with lots of spice. Finish is had fresh and dried red fruit notes. It is missing just a bit of depth. This was a dynamite suggestion from the sommelier and a lovely match to the amazing interpretation of suckling pig. — 7 years ago
I was lucky to try some of Niepoort ports at Martine Saunier tasting recently and since then I’m hooked on Port. This one very complex more dark chocolate and mocha like flavors than deep toasted almond that I was getting from Fronseca and Ramos Pinto. This seems to be my kind of port. Niepoort that is. — 8 years ago
Lovely medium bodied wine. Notes of cedar, dried herbs, raspberry liqueur, blue fruit, raisin. Supple tannins. Long lingering finish. — 9 years ago

Dark ruby red colour - muted dark fruits with smokey cedar box and herbal notes - soft tannins and acidity in perfect balance - medium finish. surprisingly light footed - 15% but never heavy a very good wine with Douro character - and some value added (non commercial) french Bordeaux influences in vinification. — 6 years ago
