Bright golden color now that it has some age - this wine is mineral- and citrus-driven with lemon and grapefruit, wet stone and appealing acidity with just a bit of smoke (more flint perhaps) to round it out. Bracing with pan-seared swordfish. — 3 years ago
Having the 17 at Daou Mountain. Delicious! Grippy tannins from the Petit Verdot. Beautiful layers of fruit from the Syrah and cab with a long finish. — 4 years ago
A blend of five varietals grown in the Paso Robles area. Nice clean dry flavor that is a relatively light wine on the pallet! — 9 years ago

2019 tasted March 2021. Ripe apricots, green nettles, and a hint of Jasmine on the nose. The mouth feel is clear and bright with a hint of honey on the front. Lot’s of bitter calcaire high notes on the mid to back palate, returning to a clean slightly sweet finish on the back. It Leaves my palate tingling and asking, “more please!” Very refreshing on a hot afternoon. — 3 years ago
Beautiful Malbec blend. Powerful with such a high percentage of Petit Verdot. Very harmonious blend with some air. — 4 years ago
Ripe red raspberries and blooming hibiscus nose. But there’s so much more crescendoing below the surface. With this many varietals kitchen-sinked into one bottle, the aroma tornadoes through fifty flavors of red. An orchestra of bright, bright, brilliant red fruit chorus across the entire palate. So many grapes harmonizing in the fruit forward melody, with a gracefully succinct and soft finish. Packs perfectly spiced panache to pair with robust acidic Italian red tomato sauces across your favorite starch! — 6 years ago
Lovely GMS -- has a vanilla note that will go well with the duck J ordered. — 7 years ago

This was wonderful with filet mignon and twice baked potatoes. Valentine's dinner with my love. — 11 years ago
Bright green-gold in the glass…lemon, pineapple, yuzu notes with a hint of green grass with lively acidity. Serious weight, nicely dry, touch of bitter grip on the finish. Tablas whites make wonderful dinner companions. Very nice foil for good Greek takeout of pasticcio, simple chicken kebabs, and skordelia. Opah! — 2 years ago
James Berry Vineyard is always performing well. Such a great representation of the varietal.
