Very yummy. Noted dark berries, tobacco, green pepper, and herbs. Happy 4th America, go drink more wine!!! — 10 months ago
Among the nicest new world Syrahs I've found. Noticable tanins, smokey bite that gets stronger after a few days. — a year ago
On a hot almost-summer night this wine hits the spot! ☀️
It’s a Sauvignon Blanc from the Valle de Casablanca D.O. in Chile 🇨🇱 where the vines from which it hails receive cooling influences from the Pacific Ocean breezes, lending balance and preserving acidity. 🌊
It’s no wonder this wine is labeled EQ as in Equilibrio (the Spanish word for balance), because it offers a wonderful balance of ripe tropical fruit aromas and flavors with vibrant acidity and notable minerality. 🍍 🥭
The aromas and flavors are fresh, albeit ripe, generally tropical with passion fruit, guava, mango, underripe pineapple, also green apple, gooseberry, freshly cut grass, and wet slate.
It’s a perfect patio pairing and fun to explore the beauty of new world Sauvignon Blanc from this region.
It’s also a great value at $12.99. 👏👏👏👏👏
Matetic Vineyards, E.Q., Coastal Sauvignon Blanc, D.O. Valle de Casablanca, Viñedo Valle Hermoso, Chile. Vintage 2019. ABV 13.5%.

Not sure why this is rated relatively low, as the 2014 vintage was exceptional (and ranked in the top 50 of Wine Spectator’s Best of 2016 list). Big aromas of cigar box and hard candy, mouth-watering tastes of strawberry jam, cedar and caramel... and most astonishingly, it retails for $15. Get some - now! — 6 years ago
Majority Cab Franc with Cab Sav and Carmenere. Luscious with tons of cherry 🍒 fruit and a nice expression of the terroir of the region. — 7 years ago
Reasonably priced in Pennsylvania. Good drinkable wine if you like fuller bodied reds. Will be getting a couple more bottles. — 9 years ago

Light and dry but funky, almost yeasty tannins mixed with berries. Distinct old vine Chilean varietals that I would like to see more of. — 2 years ago
Really good red!! Would drink again, good with chocolate and food. — 3 years ago

Nose: fig and Asphalt and earth
Taste: candid walnut up front? plum and berry, very fruit forward in the middle. Finishes spicy! Love the prickling sensation as the berry fades.
