I really enjoyed this wine. I don’t think I’ve ever had Sangiovese before to compare this to, but I liked this one. Nice, medium bodied wine, with notes of cherry and chocolate. — 5 years ago

Jammy with a touch of acid aroma. Tastes just like it smells. Nice and jammy and a touch of acid to keep everything balanced. Def enjoyable. 4/5 body. Would pay $20/bottle. — 8 years ago

Drank 12/30/20.
A selection from the Costco Wine Advent Calendar.
From 325 mL.
Plum, cherry, leather, and a bit of spice scents lead to flavors of black raspberries, black cherry, and leather. A bit lighter, and higher acidity than what I'd expect from most cabs. I would think this had an Italian varietal blended in, but there is no mention of anything other than cab on the label.

Cantina di Gambellara ‘Monopolio’ Pinot Nero 2019: Light. Clean. Smooth. Nice balance. Young flavors. Bright red cherry & red berries. Hints of oak, white pepper & spice. All in all, this was a pleasant, easy-drinking wine that will offer more excitement & depth in the years to come; that’s why I am happy to be sitting on a 2017 vintage for future consumption! Happy Friday to all! Cheers🍷 — 5 years ago
