Makes my knees weak. Young and slightly chewy at first sip, with luscious boysenberry fruit. Better second day and will improve at minimum 3-5 years — 10 years ago
Wonderful paired with hot summer BBQ and fun. — 10 years ago
Blend of 5 Bordeaux varietals including the elusive petite Verdot. Dark and bold. Well balanced. — 10 years ago
Refreshing and not acidic like some Pinot Gris are — 11 years ago
My first Idaho wine and I have to say, this is good. Really good. Nicely perfumed nose of violets, black fruit and white pepper. Smooth and soft flavors of blackberry, ripe plum and black pepper. Only downside is the 14.8% alcohol gives a bit of heat on the finish. — 11 years ago

April 28, 2018. Dinner w/Doc J, KK, J2. Beef Bourguignon & Chocolate soufflés. Oh, and this wine, first of 3 😳 bottles. Wine was lovely. Smooth, earthy, dark fruit but not at all fruity. Perhaps a hit of blueberry. From my old Trione wine club days. Love their reds and this one did not disappoint. — 8 years ago
Dry and not too sweet! — 8 years ago
Getting in the mood for this saturdays' USA95-tasting.
Pop'n pour. Deep garnet colour and a dense core.
Bright dark red fruit, graphite, sandalwood, grilled bellpepper, tobaccoleaf and leather. Also fresh cut herbs, like mint and sage. Silky tannines, lovely acidity. This has a very cool, graceful, slightly rustic and old-fashioned (maybe even European) Cabernet personality. Label states a mind-boggling 12,8% ABV...!
A great wine, especially for Bordeaux-holics like me. Prime-time drinking, will easily stay on this plateau for 3-5 more years. Would love to taste this in a line-up with some top-tier 2001 Leftbankers! — 10 years ago

My Quivet syrahs don’t usually make it long enough to have this kind of bottle age, but I may need to hold a few back going forward. Tremendous effort here and an easy 3-5 years ahead of it. — 7 years ago
