Last tasted was ‘11 as there were no ‘12 or ‘13, just tried ‘14 again. Deep Ruby, blend 70% Tempranillo, 20% Graciano & 10% Mazuelo, aged new French oak for 15 months (‘11 was 24 mos). Full red fruit aromas with floral, oak & pepper spice. On palate ripe red fruit flavors, complex with layers of fruit & spice, noting espresso, cacao & licorice. Tannins are still tight and will soften with time. Well balanced, long finish ending with fruit, spice and oak. Decant now, otherwise let sit in the cellar. Nice! — 3 years ago

Not the best gruner veltliner, not as sparkling, or full bodied, but i nice dry acidic flavor — 6 years ago
This is a really good wine! It is super balanced and has aromas like stewed plums, black cherry, and some spice. Very fruity! I only my paid $13 but later saw the same bottle for $21. Worth the higher price tag but an amazing deal at $13! Gonna stock up! — 7 years ago
Our 2019 edition had Chremisa in large letters on the bottle and it was fabulous. It was different than any Gruner we’ve had. — 3 years ago
super interesting expression, not too much toast, lemon, good acid, amber color — 4 years ago
Such purity. A notch below the ‘13 — 5 years ago
Actually my first ever Lauer. Cannot believe that myself..:: served blind, I started off in Rheinhessen (maybe Wittman?) but finally decided upon a GV from Alzinger in Wachau. Liked it very much but lacked Mosel tension, slate minerality and racy acidity impressive concentration. Very good wine, hoping to be something else? — 5 years ago
Wow, this really blew me away. Upon opening, lots of tertiary aromas - cedar, leather, rich earth - which gave way after decanting to a beautiful and pure fruit expression. Wild raspberries & ripe red cherries, both a touch funky, crunchy and mineral. Baking spice, dried leaves, and some green steminess are there too. Great fruit-driven acidity with integrated silky tannins. Drinks like something much much younger than it’s 13 years. I’m there with people who are saying this is Burgundian. Elegant and complex, will definitely be grabbing some more! — 6 years ago
Délicieux! 13 Alsatian grape varieties blended to perfection. A pretty pleaser for the price. — 6 years ago
Gordons Chanin tasting 6/13/17. $43. #5. nose that's balanced and great mouth feel and structure and great long finish. Minty hints. Like 2013. — 7 years ago
Excellent for the price. Fruity and light tannins. Paired excellently with pork and spicy food. — 3 years ago
