Very light and tart on opening, but gained some flesh with air. Somewhat austere, even for Germany, but a worthy foil for turkey.

New discovery that tastes like a vinous love child between Dujac 'Clos St. Denis' and Overnoy Poulsard.

Best Pinot at this level from Germany ever. Delicate super floral very pretty nose. Herbaceous, rosemary WILD sour cherry. Has a beginning middle and an end full rounded palate. Lots of minerality. Earthy, moss. Fabulous beats burgundy any day at 30 bucks a CULT WINE. If you find it buy it.

What a nose. Spice, ripe and overflowing mid season cherries, pine resin and sap. Wow. Huge sweetness as well. Smells like 1er Cru Côte de Nuits. Stunning. Palate is nervy and engaging with huge mid season semi sweet cherry fruit. Juicy and prickly acids with wonderful juicy and ripe tannins with a citrus twang on the finish. In the zone right now. So elegant and yet so flavorful.

Pure beauty. Modest but lovely, like a Bach cantata. Thanks Veronica @ Crush!

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Vosges... It's a weird experience for me; it's like a hybrid of California and the old world. Seems high pH/soft and the oak is sweet, even if they are second fill barrels. Maybe the sandstone is a big part of it? Interesting and tasty wine for sure

Incredible wine. Just short of first of season intense Cherry fruit. Hint of bitterness. Hint of licorice. Stunning acidity. Never had anything exactly like it. Pinot noir like you've never tried.
