Unsurprisingly this California "cola" Pinot is classic new world however it's elegance makes it a star of Santa Barbara. Ripe cherries, raspberries with notes of cinnamon, cardamom and sandalwood. — 8 years ago
Perfect for my Valentine! This elegant Brut Champagne is a delightful blend and is right for any occasion. Balanced fruit most notably Grapefruit and to a lesser extend apple upon initial tasting. Toasty oak on the back-end with a creamy mouth feel of quality micro-bubbles, a strong indication for an excellently crafted Champagne. Both visually appealing from bottle to glass and the quality does not disappoint. — 9 years ago
This 1999 Bordeaux style blend held up well in my cellar. Locked up, I had to decant it for a considerable amount of time. Dark opaque red, wide rim variation belays it's age, and it was quite possibly at the end. The aromas were distinctly of black currant, smoke and leather. Smoother mouth-feel than I anticipated, with dusty tannins and black fruits. Old-world style from the new-world with a powerful finish. — 9 years ago
Warm fruity merlot. Easy drinking — 7 years ago
Mild smokey aroma covered in spice of paprika & anise. A classic Australian powerhouse wine that lives up to it's reputation of a world class wine. Pronounced red fruits with strong notes of chocolate enhanced by the ample tannins. — 8 years ago
What a lovely surprise. This wine is quite fascinating and easy drinking. Small batch aged in both new and old bourbon barrels, imparting a delightful spice with caramel and vanilla . As a Zinfandel typical in color and appearance. Dark, fruity and rich. Initial bouquet is subtle and simple of ripe berries and vibrant cherries. The aroma
builds in complexity with a depth of fruit and rich flavor that expresses a wonderfully crafted wine. Don't judge this wine by the initial tasting, savor it as it warms up to you.

Blind tasting would fool many folk. A classic Bordeaux blend (5 varietals) aged in French Oak. BV surprised me with a lovely Napa wine. Rich full bouquet, complex and masterfully crafted. Blackberries, black current, Madagascar vanilla bean and hints of truffle. — 8 years ago
Dark chocolate & ripe red fruit in the nose. Strong robust tannins indicative of a young full bodied Cabernet. Cranberry, blackberry, cassis. Black pepper, cedar & cocoa — 8 years ago
This 2011 boasts a spectacular bouquet immediately uncorked. Ripe rich red fruit with hints of complex spices. The mouth feel is delightfully smooth despite being full bodied and dry. Good indication of a masterfully crafted blend. I'm biased however as I adore blends with Cabernet Franc. Well worth the price tag in my humble opinion. Great by itself or paired with roasts & game meats or cheeses. — 9 years ago
