Nose has powder sugar dusted lemon torte, wet slate, dry lemon zest, powdered sugar and lime peel.
Palate has beautiful lemon curd pastry, lime zest, under-baked pastry dough, ethereal sugar from angels lightly dancing but never touching the ground, medium acidity in perfect balance.
Might be the best Feinherb ever...? I cannot wait for this to evolve in the coming days.

144 Hour Update: Nose has orange zest, lime zest, powder sugar dusted flakey pastry, peach skin and dehydrated orange. Palate has lime peel, lemon flesh, ripe nectarine, confectioners sugar, nectarine flesh and faint moist sandstone notes. A beautiful wine, but now score improvement. Revisit 2039-44, minimum.

Just an awesome nose of green apple, slate, just dripping with minerals, wild mint and lime zest. Smokey herbs as well. So stunning and complex. Palate is concentrated, juicy and complex and does come across a bit riper than a Kabinett but is on target with the Feinherb part. Sweet attack, dry finish. Classic Feinherb. Awesome energy, green apple sweet tart and lime zest sweet tart fruit. Long, echoing finish. Super mineral and precise. Long finish. Stupid good and 2019 is the real deal.

Jan 28th, 2022Ok, this is so so serious and so so stunning! Insane nose that brings to mind top Willi Schaefer. Stunningly deep and intense aroma. Haunting, floral, savory, so deep. Penetrating. Lime. Slate. A sense of creaminess as well. So so good. Just a wow nose. 9.6 at least. What a palate. This is perfectly executed Feinherb. So nimble, yet tense and taut. Beautiful purity and a delicate elegant structure but impossible to put down now. Wow, the complexity and finesse. Such amazingness. So filigreed. So long. Perfectly dissipating finish. I know this will be that much better in 5 years. This is a genius wine.
As this airs the nose just gets so stankey and dankey. Just so slatey and mineral. Insane. Best lime ever. The Mosel is so good.

Wow. Excellent.
Palate is so crystalline. Perfect crunchy green apples. Juicy. More on the kabinett side. Almost willi Schaferish in intensity but without the jolly rancher. Utterly delicious.
