Five years is usually my cut off for most Turley zins based on experience but this one is still kicking probably thanks to the Howell Mountain tannins. Loads of blackberry jam, spices (though I didn't get pepper which I usually find on Turley zins), this wine is rich and drinking very well.

Great wine for a cold winter’s night. 16.1% to ‘warm the soul’, although the heat was not prevalent. Excellent fruit. Do not drink in months without an “r”. 😎

Big and full, with noticeably high alcohol (16.1% per the label). I found this a bit hard to enjoy on its own, give the the heat, but it fared much better with food. Still, it's a larger style of zin than I'm currently into.
