Napa Cab under $25! For the price, totally worth it. Just know that you're value is in flavor, balance and finesse; not power or tannin. The wine isn't missing any component of a good bottle of Cab, it shows you small amounts in every category.

Starts off a little simple but it blossoms with 30 minutes in the glass. This is a medium-bodied cab with red-leaning fruit and good acidity. The nose is a bit compact and the finish is short, but this is otherwise a good buy for around $26. I'd drink it sooner rather than later, though, as it loses steam with extended aeration.

Really good Napa Cabernet for the price. Whilst the Textbook Mise en place Oakville, Napa was more complex, fruity, and overall solid Napa Cabernet, I just can't justify the price jump.

Here is my Friday's Cabernet...

Inky in color with a purplish rim.

A "Textbook" Napa nose with black currants, blackberries, cherry pie, vanilla, cedar, leather, chocolates, cinnamon, tobacco, licorice, beef jerk, spices and peppercorn. Really, a beautiful nose.

Medium plus in body, ripe and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Fruity and bone dry on the palate, with blackberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, cloves, earth, leather, smoke, spices and peppercorn.

Long finish with firm tannins and black pepper.

A great Napa Cabernet Sauvignon. Still young, but already enjoyable even by itself, but definitely with food. Well balanced, pleasant and entertaining.
I paired it with a nice piece of Steak.

Needs 1 hour to open up properly, in order to get the green notes out of the way.

Hand picked and hand sorted. Aged in small French oak barrels for 16 months.

I paid $26 for it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was sold at the $40 price range. A Good buy.

14% alcohol by volume.

We had this on 9/2-3/19. This is a classic Napa Cab for a reasonable price. A full bodied wine with tastes of blackberry, blueberry, oak and cassis.
