Heavy SO2 on the nose, but with some air this yields a salt mine of a wine. Full bodied and high acid with a rip roaring saline quality on top of the bright citrus explosion. Fascinating.

I loved this unusual and strongly flavored wine. This wine is definitely not for the meek, and is likely not a good wine to bring to parties, because it requires an acceptance of no-fruit flavor. But it went perfectly with my spinach salad containing fried cheese patties. And there are few wines that would match. The nose is pine and allspice. The palette begins with brioche, then becomes smoke, and finishes with very strong vegetable flavor, with notes of ginger and pine. There is a hint of citrus to start.
